Step 5 Rename the converted file

If you are using Mac system, when you locate the music file with .m4a extension in Finder, click the file name to select it, and click it again to enter edit mode. Now, change m4a to m4r and hit Enter key to finish it. If you are using Windows system, as default setting, you will not see file extensions. Please go to Explorer View settings, and change settings to show extension. Then, click the file name and change its extension from m4a to m4r.

Step 6 Import .m4r file to iTunes and sync it to iPhone

Drag the m4r file into iTunes. Then, go to Ringtones group in iTunes library, you will find the ringtone you just made. Now you can sync this ringtone to you iPhone and use it as ringtone/text tone/alert in your iPhone settings.

iDVD is a free tool that allows the user to burn QuickTime movies, MP3 music, and digital photos to a DVD on Mac OS X. However, from Mac OS X 10.7, there is no iDVD any more. If you are using Mac OS X 10.6 and earlier, you can still use iDVD to burn iPhoto slideshow to DVD.

Step 1 Import iPhoto slideshow to iDVD. When the slideshow is done in iPhoto, click “File” > “Export” > “Slideshow”. And then click “Export” button and a window pops up. There set the location of the output slideshow. Finally, go to “Places” tab in the left hand side and choose “iDVD”.

Step 2 Burn iPhoto slideshow to DVD in iDVD. Run iDVD and open the iPhoto slideshow. Insert a blank DVD disc to your computer, choose “Open Finder” option and the blank disk will appear on the desktop. Open the blank DVD and drag the slideshow to the window. And then click “Burn” button.
